Is the new Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment worth trying? In this post, I will share my honest review after two tries.

Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Review

Typically, the first thing I consider whenever my hair is damaged is a good ol trim. Needless to say, but a cut is the ONLY foolproof way to get rid of fried ends and instantly improve the appearance of your hair. However, if your goal is to grow your hair long like mine is at the moment, the second best thing is to give your hair lots of TLC.

Apart from DIY masks, I love using products that help repair damaged hair and I’m on the market to find the best of the best. Most recently, I put the Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment claims to repair and strengthen the hair bond to the test.

Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Review

My first impressions were of the consistency, which is watery and contains no noticeable fragrance. Also, even though the nozzle applicator is simple to use, to prevent waste, divide hair into small sections.

I took my time to apply the Number 0 treatment, my hair felt damp and a bit rough in texture. Besides that, no burning, itching, or anything of that nature during the application or after.

After 10 minutes, I applied treatment Number 3, then brushed my hair to ensure even application. Then I put on a shower cap and left it on for another 10 minutes before shampooing and conditioning.

Noteworthy: Remember is this is a bond builder, not a moisturizing treatment.

My hair was really straight; typically, my hair starts to curl right away. Apart from that, my hair began to air dry quicker than usual, and very visibly frizzy. I applied a bit of No. 7 bonding oil before blow-drying my hair, but my hair was still frizz after.

I do want to mention, that although my hair looked more damaged than before, thanks to the frizz. The actual feel of my hair felt amazingly soft and stronger. So, because of these positives, I decided to give it another.

I followed the same steps and products; the only difference was the round brush used to blow-dry my hair.

Ok, so whats the verdict?

After using the Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment twice, I’m still on the fence. The positives are evident only to the touch, literally, which is great, but my hair looked so frizzy and porous that I had to question if it is repairing my hair or damaging it.

That said, after my second treatment, I was due to color my hair, and my colorist almost instantly complimented the health of my hair since my last appointment. I told her that I had used this treatment, and she was so impressed and said I should continue to use it.

She also clarified, that a product like this will show the best results after using it for two/three months.

In conclusion, the No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment is worth the try if you have damaged hair and patience.
