Being beauty obsessed like I am means I buy way too much of everything. I have to admit that it gets really hard to get a good use out of every product especially since becoming a SAHM, I don’t do my makeup everyday like I used to. I try and keep track of the things I buy more importantly because some do expire rather quicker then others. I try to stay away from buying too many mascaras or liquid eyeliners due to their life span. Here is a quick list of products and how long they should be kept for.

  • Liquid and cream products, including cream foundation, rouge, bronzer, eye shadow, contour, and highlighter: ONE YEAR
  • All powder products, including loose powder, pressed powder, blush, and eye shadow: TWO YEARS.
  • Mascara and liquid eyeliner: SIX MONTHS.
  • Eye pencils, brow pencils, and lip pencils: THREE YEARS.
  • Lipstick, lip color pots, lip gloss: TWO YEARS.

 To prolong makeup’s life, keep items stored in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Good Luck XX
