I don’t drink coffee and I try to stay away from any drinks that contain caffeine, it makes me super jittery and really sicK. I do however love the smell and I love even more to use it in my skin care, if like me you have really bad dark circles than you probably know that most of the eye creams contain coffee and after you try some of my favorite DIY treatments you will see why!
The caffeine in coffee has benefits like treating redness and inflammation, to getting rid of the horrible cellulite. Coffee contains anti-inflamatory and antioxidant properties that can keep your skin bright and soft. Also the caffeine can shrink the blood vessel under your eyes reducing circles and puffy eyes. Coffee Face Mask:
- 2 tbsp of freshly ground coffee (or used grinds)
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons of whole milk, heavy cream, or yogurt
- 1 tbsp of honey
Mix all ingredients together and apply a light coat to face let sit for about 15 minutes. Remove with warm wash cloth.
Coffee Body Scrub:
- 1 Cup of coffee grounds
- 1 Cup of coconut oil melted
- 1-3 Drops of lemon essential oil
- 1-3 Drops of orange essential oil
- 1/2 Cup coconut sugar
Caffeine Eye Coffe Mask:
- 1 tbsp of organic coffee
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 1 tbsp of vitamin e oil
Mix all the ingredients together and apply a thick layer under your eyes, leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off.
Coffee Eye Pads:
- Brew some organic coffee and let it cool. Dip a cotton pad in it and use it to treat your puffy or tired eyes. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
Shiny Hair Treatment
- Coffee
- Water
Prepare a strong coffee, then add a bit of water. let it cool until the mixture is lukewarm. Standing in the tub, pour the liquid onto your hair hair and scalp, then put a shower cap on and sit for 20 minutes. Wash out with warm water.
