A powerful and easy task to do before bed for a better life

This one powerful and easy task has helped me in great ways

I’ve had some pretty long nights working on this site; however, I kept going to bed unaccomplished. This feeling was affecting my mood and overall self-esteem.

One night I stayed up until 4:36 am, and as I was walking upstairs I realized what I was going to do, my mind was focusing on what did not get completed that day.

I remembered an article or maybe a book I read where it advises people to write down everything you do from the moment you get out of bed. That night I grabbed a piece of paper and eyeliner, I was already upstairs, and that’s all I could find. I started to write things down, and by the time I had reached noontime, I realized I had done more than most people do in 24 hours!

I went to bed feeling accomplished, slept for 1.5 hours, and jumped right back up to target my daily tasks.

What this one simple powerful and easy task I started doing that night as a positive reinforcement exercise that has become a crucial element to my new way of thinking and seeing things.

It has helped me pinpoint where I was spending the most time. Like the one afternoon, I dedicated three hours to clean up the girls’ playroom. It took them 2.5 seconds to destroy it again. Next time I know to utilize my time more efficiently and on things that will help me get more important things done each day.

Sometimes its really about making small changes that will help us live a better life. Thanks to this powerful and easy task I spend less time on my phone, and on the things that don’t fall high on my priority list.

I am delighted to say it has been working out in more positive ways than I was anticipating and I invite you to try it too!

Its merely writing down in a journal, piece of paper, or notebook what you did that day. Only focus on the accomplishments of the day, and if you can recall how long you took to complete each one. Doing this will help you pinpoint any improvements you need to make.

If you decide to do it, please let me know, I would love to know what effects a simple task like this has in your life.
